Teresa Butz May you Rest In Peace xoxox

It’s been nearly two years since death arrived at her fiancée’s South Park house.
On Wednesday, the survivor spoke against the man who she says brought it there.
Arriving in the night through a bathroom window, Isaiah Kalebu – the 25-year-old facing life in prison for the alleged rape-slaying – held Teresa Butz and her partner at knifepoint, prosecutors claim. In the 90 minutes-or-so that followed, the allegations go, Kalebu raped both women repeatedly, cutting both before they fought him off.
In that final struggle with Kalebu, Butz, 39, lost her life, prosecutors contend. Her throat cut seven times and arm crippled, she broke away and allowed her partner to escape before Kalebu stabbed her heart and took her life.
Questioned by Senior Deputy Prosecutor James Konat, Butz’s partner took the stand two days after the trial of Kalebu began in King County Superior Court.
Prosecutors have asked that the jury convict Kalebu on rape and attempted murder charges, as well as an aggravated first-degree murder charge that would see Kalebu sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Aggravated first-degree murder carries only two possible sentences – life in prison, and death. King County Prosecutor Dan Satterberg chose not to pursue a death sentence in the case, in part because of Kalebu’s history of mental illness.
Prone to outbursts during pre-trial hearings, Kalebu, 25, was not inside the courtroom on Monday afternoon. Instead, Kalebu was restrained while he watched the proceedings via a video link in another room inside the Seattle courthouse.
In opening statements Monday, prosecutors said the surviving woman and Butz were sleeping when, at about 1:30 a.m., they woke to find Kalebu standing over their bed. He was naked, she told police, and armed with a butcher's knife.
"I won't hurt you," Kalebu allegedly told the women, according to court documents.
Prosecutors contend Kalebu repeatedly sexually assaulted each of the women. As he did so, the physical attacks on the women intensified as he began cutting more aggressively on the necks of both women.
The surviving victim began to lose large amounts of blood. Concerned, Butz rushed Kalebu, then broke out a bedroom window with a nightstand, police claim.
Mortally injured, Butz dove through the window and her girlfriend ran from the room, police said in court documents. Officers contend Kalebu then collected his clothing and ran from the home.
Identified as a suspect days after Butz was killed, police arrested Kalebu after a Metro bus driver recognized him from a police bulletin. He has remained in King County Jail since, though he was taken to Western State Hospital for psychiatric reviews during the run-up to trial.
In addition to the survivor’s eyewitness account, prosecutors are expected to offer substantial DNA and fingerprint evidence showing Kalebu was at the scene and sexually assaulted the women. Kalebu’s attorneys have not given notice that they plan to claim Kalebu was insane during the alleged attack.

Kalebu, 25, was charged initially with five counts, including the rape, burglary, murder and attempted murder, as well as first degree murder, and aggravated murder. He was convicted of all five.
